Our roots, our value:
This is who we are.

It is a story that began in 1968, when Carlo Salvarani bought the land in Casalgrande from which he started his entrepreneurial adventure. Since then the company has grown, first under his leadership, then under that of his children Alessandra and Filippo.

Today, Gresmalt is one of the leading players in the ceramic tile sector in Italy in terms of produced square metres. Through years of steady growth, Gresmalt has expanded its activities by acquiring several brands and plants. Today, the Group is made up of different production and commercial entities that work in synergy.

GROUP HISTORY


A history of excellence
and innovation

1968

Foundation

Carlo Salvarani, together with other partners, founded a company in Casalgrande that specialised in the manufacture of ceramics products.

1979

Acquisition

Gresmalt acquired the company, whose production was built on the red clay extracted from the ancient quarries located in the lands of Matilde di Canossa.

2016

Industrie Matildiche

The Frassinoro plant was
refurbished and its name
was changed.

2018

Ermes Aurelia

This sales business joined
the Gresmalt Group.

1998

Sintesi

A new brand was created and an
independent sales network set up.

2009

Abitare

This new brand was created to
market high-end products.

2022

Headquarters and Logistic HUB

New administrative and commercial headquarters and new logistics HUB.
